If acne scars are located on the face, they can reduce the patient's quality of life, leading to isolation and depression. There are multiple effective modalities to treat acne scars. Ablative lasers, radiofrequency, micro-needling, and pilings with trichloroacetic acid have very good treatment results.

Acest studiu a examinat 6 lucrări despre cât de bine tratează laserul fracționat cu CO2 ultra-puls cicatricile depresive ale acneei. Rezultatele au arătat că acest tratament cu laser a fost mai eficient în comparație cu alte metode, ceea ce duce la rezultate mai bune în ceea ce privește ratele de îmbunătățire și cât de netedă s-a simțit pielea pacienților.
